The Daniel Chaney Fellows Program
This program pairs world-class artists from Street Symphony’s professional roster of vocalists, instrumentalists, and composers with artists and musicians living in the Skid Row community who have been impacted by homelessness. After an application process, Fellows receive two years of free musical instruction and are featured as soloists or lead artists in several of Street Symphony programs, including the year end Messiah Project.
The Daniel Chaney Fellows Program continues through COVID. All fellows have received tablets and mobile hotspots and continue to receive weekly instruction from teaching artists virtually. Showcase events have moved from in person events to virtual events featured on the Street Symphony social media platforms.
